About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Medical Officer to serve as the primary medical leader and advocate for the community. This full-time position involves a 40% commitment to direct patient care and a 60% dedication to medical administrative duties. The CMO will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to clinical practice standards, organization, staffing, and ensuring regulatory and contractual compliance across all clinical programs and medical service sites. Additionally, the CMO will oversee the Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance program to guarantee the delivery of high-quality medical care. The role also includes community advocacy on healthcare issues and working with the leadership team to meet financial goals. Applicants must have an M.D. or D.O. with current, unblemished licensure and preferably be board-certified in a relevant specialty. A minimum of 5 years' of successful medical practice, experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center, and a strong understanding of EMR systems and value-based care are required. The CMO will be involved in all aspects of medical operations, including provider recruitment, staffing, and performance management, as well as business planning and budget development. The role demands a leader with a public health perspective, capable of maintaining a personal medical practice and ensuring all medical activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be a collaborative team player, able to represent the organization with various external bodies, and dedicated to the improvement of health status for the patient population.
